I am a true African and I really loved my country but I just realised today that our country doesn’t actually care about us. We are treated like animals in our country. We are suppressed. We are made fools. It really hurts. We don’t love each other even though we claim we do. Corruption is killing us. It is making our lives unbearable. Corruption is killing our people. Its making them live under bad conditions. It’s sad because Ghanaians don’t know. These people that you call your leaders won’t even make their kids study in the country. They pay lump sums of money in Europe to get these kids into the best schools in Europe and America. I don’t know why I used to be proud of where I come from and why I even used to make a lot of noise about where I come from. Where I come from, won’t even take care of us. They won’t even give me a good education. People educated in Ghana or Africa per say, find the fact that they are educated and other people are not, as an opportunity to spend money.
If you Ghanaians claim they are human and they love their people, they should help the people with the skills they learnt and not kill them. They are killing us. Are we not human beings? Don’t we breathe like the way other Europeans breathe? Why can’t we have holidays every summer like they do? Why can’t we get free education like they do? Foolish people will stand and think that because they are Ashanti’s they will have to vote for NPP. Imagine, if Atta Mills did not come into power, they would have paid Kuffour this ex-gratia till he died. These leaders don’t have pity on us. They don’t care. They just don’t. I know Atta Mills is a reasonable man but if all his ministers will fink the same way he does it will really help the country but these ministers don’t even love their countries. They don’t even love their people.
Ghanaians claim they love each other but they don’t. We are just literally killing each other. I couldn't believe how easy I got in the university in the U.K. An opportunity that most of my mates in Ghana have taken out of their heads because these evil ones make it virtually impossible for the youth to fink they can make it. It will never come out of my mouth ever again that I am proud of my country, its more or less like saying I am proud of evil ones and unfair people.
There is nothing to be proud of unless I want to be proud of these murderers that kill people indirectly through corruption. I don’t see the point complaining anymore if a white man is racist to me because if my countrymen where very wise people and not evil, I would not be in this cold scavenging on left over’s(education, work etc) I have given up on Ghana SO BLESS ME GOD. They make the illiterates live like animals meanwhile their mother’s couldn't get jobs to pay their fees and those who are lucky to get educated come back to eat the flesh of people that their forefathers didn't give the chance to study.
I always pray to God never to make me get into politics after my PHD; because I will ensure corrupt leaders are buried alive (you think this is meaner than what they do?). Trust me, they are doing this to 100's of thousands of Ghanaians but the difference is, it’s not a physical torture. HOW CAN YOU, MY FELLOW GHANAIANS EMBRACE POVERTY? You have accepted to be poor. You have been fooled to accept poverty to be normal. It is not. We are human beings and we deserve to have comfortable lives. We deserve to have everything but one foolish Ghanaian man will keep the one for a 1000.
